"Untitled" is an event held every Final Friday of the month at the Denver Art Museum. These events usually involve various multi-media interactive displays as well as live music and theater.
Problem: How do you attract a younger crowd on a Friday night to a location that few realize is even open at night?
Solution: Working with the communications team at the museum, I designed an interactive Twitter feed that displays Tweets that pertain to the current event. Anyone can add a Tweet by using a special Hash code. Their Tweet is then projected onto a large screen at the live event in real-time. I also put together a back-end admin that allows the museum staff to update the site to display different Twitter feeds based on the current event.
"Untitled is about offbeat encounters with art. Take a detour through the galleries with a neurologist, a cartographer, or a perfumer to see art through new eyes. Be crafty and strut your creative stuff. Get a good talking to from an art guru atop a soapbox. Groove to local sounds, take in some homegrown theatre, catch a Denver artist in action, and celebrate just how cool it is to live in this creative cow town."

To market the event, the museum needed a site that would provide information about upcoming events but also be engaging enough to attract a younger demographic.
Jefferson County (CO.) Public Schools - Jeffco Public Schools is the largest school district in Colorado with more than 84,000 students and approximately 12,000 employees.
As with most school districts, Jeffco is required to submit yearly statistical reports to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) that tracks the population breakdown of each school. There are over 200 Human Resource data elements and definitions that need to be tracked.
Problem: The Jeffco Human Resources department needed an easy way to view statistics based on a specific school. By default, the data returned from the CDE is contained within an Excel Spreadsheet that contained over 25,000 rows.
Solution: I built a "Dashboard" front end that allows users to display data in an easy to read format. Users can select a specific school or sort schools by type. To see a sample of data returned for a single school, go here. Please note that the data presented is not factual.
Jefferson County (CO.) Public Schools - Jeffco Public Schools is the largest school district in Colorado with more than 84,000 students and approximately 12,000 employees. Jeffco needed assistance in the redesign of the districts’ public facing Departmental web sites.
This project also included Google Mini integration as well as implementing a WordPress based back end administration tool. The admin tool was built in a way so that users of various skill levels would be able to utilize the tool. The Google Maps API was also used to display school locations and gives site visitors the option of displaying directions to a particular location.
Problem: One initial requirement was that the entire site had to be static HTML. While most of the site content could be easily modified, managing over 250 individual schools and departments became quite tedious.
Solution: Using WordPress as a starting point, I put together a back-end admin tool that makes managing schools and departments much easier. HTML pages are created on-the-fly so that the requirement of a static HTML site stays in place. With Jeffco transitioning into a dynamic PHP platform, the initial admin tool was easily transitioned into the new environment.
National CineMedia, LLC. - The leading provider of in-theater advertising services, selling time on more than 12,000 screens across the country. It also produces and distributes pre-show entertainment features (including the entertainment industry infomercial, “First Look”) and it distributes other media content to theater screens, including live entertainment.
One piece of the National CineMedia business model involves showing concerts and special events in various theatres. This site allows customers to learn more about current and upcoming events. Customers are also able to purchase tickets through this site. The name was recently changed to Fathom Events but still utilizes the architecture that I designed.
Problem: NCM Digital Programming needed a site that was both appeasing to the eye as well as functional. There was also the need to tie into a ticketing system without having direct access.
Solution: Working with the creative services department, I crafted a site that presents the product as well as making it easy to maintain on the back-end. Ticketing is handled by Fandango so a special script had to be written so that the customer could access the ticketing module. Click Here to go to the live site.

The National Cinemedia Media Center is a Sales & Marketing tool that I developed to exhibit all content and advertisements. The system gives users the ability to create and send custom video play lists. Users also have the option of creating a CD that contains the content of their play list as well as creating a link where their play list can be viewed online.
Problem: The NCM Sales & Marketing department needed an easy way to send videos to clients. In the past, they had copy the video onto a DVD and then send it out using UPS.
Solution: I devised an online system where the video would be encoded as Flash with meta data added to a SQL Server Database. The sales team would then have the ability to create a play list that they could then send out to clients; who could then view the videos.
The Denver Art Museum is the largest art museum between Kansas City and the West Coast, with over 55,000 works of art, including an internationally renowned American Indian collection and superb holdings of pre-Columbian and Spanish Colonial art. The Denver Art Museum recently completed a $90.5 million expansion that opened on October 7th, 2006.
Problem: The Denver Art Museum needed a site that could be easily updated by a number of people. There was a minimum amount of development time so completing this project in the shortest amount of time was required
Solution: Working with the Art Museums in-house designer,I took a layered Photoshop file and converted it into a WordPress Theme that could be easily modified. I also created a back-end admin tool as a WordPress plugin that allows them to manage an MIT Simile Timeline.
Fruition® is a Denver Internet marketing firm specializing in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC - Adwords, Yahoo! Marketing, and MSN) campaign management.
Problem: Fruition® wanted to implement a new website design into a WordPress template.
Solution: Working with their designer, I took a layered Photoshop file and converted it into a WordPress Theme. This way they have the option of changing the look and feel of the site on-the-fly. I also created a back-end admin tool, incorporated into WordPress, that allows them to change out titles; This feature was not available in the default installation of WordPress.
